Why Choose Muse Juice Media?

With so many design firms to choose from, how do you know which one will be your best fit? Here are 7 reasons why we think you'll be thrilled to work with us.

1. We take the time to get to know you!

Web sites are all about communication, and a great web site starts with a solid foundation built on communication between client and designer. Our first and foremost step in our development process is our exploratory interview. Your developer can't build you what you need, unless they understand who your company is and what your goals are. Our exploratory interview facilitates this vital communication and starts us off with that strong foundation.

2. We offer extremely competitive pricing!

Most web firms don't list pricing on their web sites. Why not?? We like to be up front about everything in our development process, and budget is your top concern, right? At sixty-five dollars an hour we think you'll agree, it's hard to find too many web development firms with our "bang-to-buck" ratio. In addition, if you need domain registration, hosting or email, we don't upcharge! Most web firms love to upcharge for hosting—We pay just $70 a year for our domain, hosting and email, and think it's only fair that you shouldn't have to pay more, just because you're not in the business.

Prices are solely dependant upon your specific needs. On average, a site without a content management system goes for roughly $3,500, while a site with a content management system goes for roughly $7,000. A "business card" site (logo with contact information) runs $300 while a customization for social networking site (Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, YouTube, LinkedIn) runs $400 for design and implementation. The cost of your site may be more or less depending on your needs.

3. We're here for hand-holding when you need it!

With all the confusing computer jargon out there like FTP, CMS, SEO, PHP, ISP, DNS, POP, SMTP, IMAP, W3C, cache, browser, upload, download, domain, hosting, and so on, it's easy to get lost in all that language (and a bit intimidating!) While some developers will talk at you like you already know what all those crazy acronyms mean, we understand, it's a second language! It's confusing!

Never fear, we're here to help!

We don't want you to feel belittled during the web development process, we want you to feel enlightened! We promise we won't talk down to you and guarantee you patience, so please, feel free to ask us whatever question is on your mind (even if you need to hear an explanation a third or fourth time).

4. We're available to you 24/7

Site broken? Send out a newsletter promoting a feature you just realized isn't on the site yet? Is it 2 in the morning on a Sunday night? No problem! You get our cell phone numbers so if something need fixing, we're available around the clock to put out any pesky little fires.

5. We comply to W3C and Section 508 Standards*

We develop using ONLY the latest technology in web development. If you're shopping around for web designers, make sure to ask what coding standards will be used on your site. Currently, we code our sites using XHTML 1.1 with CSS2 and CSS3 validated by the W3C.

Your developer should be using XHTML 1.1, XHTML 1.0 Transitional/Strict or HTML 5.
Only government funded sites will compy to Section 508 standards unless otherwise requested.

6. We're environmentally friendly!

While it's become trendy these days to say you're "green" — What does that actually mean? Muse Juice Media only uses MacBook Pro laptops because they require less energy and are made of less toxic materials. We also bike to our clients whenever possible and unlike most web firms, we only use lighting fixutres and paper when absolutely necessary. We think it's important not only for individuals to take an active role in taking care of our environment, but especially businesses as well!

7. We offer affordable content management systems

Update your web site on-the-fly and as often as you need. Whether using our custom CMS “SiteControl”, Jooma, Drupal or Adobe Contribute, we can get you on your way to a self-sufficient web site that's never out of date.
